Hi, best gap setting and how much movement on swingarm is ok at rear wheel, please?

My Atlas is running on BN8ES plugs. I don't think it likes them. Misfires intermittently until the engine is hot and then when I give it some welly the misfire eventually clears and she runs great, and when I say great I mean it.

I am helping a friend sort out the electrics on his 99. It has a 6V Lucas E3L-L-1- C dynamo. It is positive earth.

A PO has fitted the wires as shown in my sketch attached.

can anyone please tell me where i can purchase a pair of selector plate / quadrant bushes and the cork washers to go with them, I cant find them anywhere. Thank you. Ron Beaton

Can anyone give me some advice on upgrading the Prestolite starter motors? I know there is the 4 brush conversion, is that all that can be done other than replacing the field coils?

Currently playing with twin concentrics with a cable spliter and adjusters on the carb tops. Unable to get near slides as box filter in way . Can set tickover and mixture by ear or Colourtune no prob . but do not want to disturb filter box .

I am having a problem with oil leaking from the o rings on the inner shaft of the gear lever selector

shaft, I have changed the o rings twice it last about 20 miles then it leaks again any one got any ideas. Kind Regards Duncan.

Are there UK fitters of K-line valve guide liners?  Preferably in London or South East.  My Inter needs new guides next winter.  The correct one for exhaust is a bit special (with spring seat attached), so liners should be quicker and cheaper.

In order to protect the tank in the damp space that’s my garage I have been closing off the cap breather hole by sliding a tiny fridge magnet over it .The magnet lives on the cap and is almost invisible.

My 1966 Atlas which had sat for FIFTY years untouched has NO oil in the forks, evidenced by the fact that with the oil drain screw removed nothing comes out.

I have a new L/S 3rd pinion. Unlike the bushed one in the picture that came out of my box it isn't stamped AH on the Dog side. It does have two 5's stamped on the other side at right angle to each other. The machining marks look identicle.

Has anybody any long term experience of RGM's gear pinions?

Is there a way of moving the clutch bite point nearer the handlebars as at present the bite point is right out towards the rest position of the lever, just the last 1/4" and thus quite 'digital i.e. on or off!

The final half mile of my road in Bulgaria is very bumpy being made up from railway sleepers.

My Dominator is therefore tested every journey including the electrics.

The law states that the headlights must be on at all times.

I have an ex road race bike that I am converting to road use. It is a Featherbed with a Commando engine fitted upright. The gearbox is a five speed Quaife with a race first gear and no kick start.

I need a part number for the garter oil seal in the drive end cap please.

I have found a number for brushes AND seal, but do not require brushes as I am fitting a four brush prestolite conversion which is already aquired.

My Dad has a 1971 750 Commando with a 2-1 manifold and Concentric Mk1 932 Carb, can anyone recommend jet sizes for this setup, standard road use.

I'm toying with the idea of applying a ceramic coating to the paintwork on my bike. There seem to be a plethora of products of vastly varying prices available. Does anyone have any experience in this field?
