961 service

Hi Keith,  I am a new member. Originally looking for an original 850 commando but recently seeing the early (2010) 961's in my price range. Can you give me any idea what they are like to own and ride and any problems I should be looking for when buying.

there are a whole lot of things to learn about either the new or old Commandos: I have them both, over 40 years since first 850. The big difference with 961 is the many sensors and ECU, which all need to work for the whole thing to run. Stuart Bodycote of Derby is THE man for 961s, and has done some videos on youtube, and has his own business servicing them.

   It’s a big learning curve, you have been warned!

Thanks, had my mk1a 850 in 1974 and have always regretted selling it.  I'll see what I can get.
