I refitted the forks on my bike and they don't leak anymore and seem to work ok but the L/H shroud has started coming loose. I guess I didn't check if the three screws holding it on were tight!
At some point I think that I read the answer to my query not too long ago but I'd like further confirmation via this post if I may.

In my collection of Norton related books there's a lot of information about mechanical design development, and mechanical designers. But as far as I can see, almost nothing is written about who developed the design styles.
This is a difficult one to photograph - what I'm trying to show is the ground profile 'blend' of the ramp to the base diameter - there's not much of a blend! This is the first new camshaft I've ever bought - should it be so?

Following on from the thread about using the dishwasher to clean aluminium parts, can anyone recommend a cleaner that brightens dull aluminium, back in day Gunk used to work quite well but its not as effective any more.
At 6’2”, I find the riding position is a bit tucked up.
Is there a mod that will allow me to lower the pegs an inch or two?

Hoping to start complete rebuild of 650SS next week just fitting nuts on conrod ends with big end shells fitted need torque setting for big end nuts looked for manual could not find can anyone help

Just a small one - should the 'thin washer', as described by AN, be between the guard and the swinging arm as shown or should the guard butt up against it with the washer under the bolt head.

Hi all, i am in the process of assembling the primary drive on my Mk3 and I am struggling to to find the torque setting for the anti backfire nut. Is the breakaway setting of 50 lbs ft quoted in the manual also the torque setting of the nut?
After stripping the head off my 600 dominater I found some damage to the spigot’s I was wondering if I flush down to the face would that have a marked effect on the running I don’t really want to replace the liners as the bores are ok still std ?<
I'm gradually getting there with the tuning of my Atlas and one of the things I've noticed as I've progressed is that the engine is becoming more powerful and responsive.
Have restored my Dads 1956 Inter and it's on the bench ready to start. No oil return! Any pointers please?

I’m intending to attend Norton day on 23/23 September but was alerted to check my Commando was exempt ( as it should be) as apparently TfL’s records are woeful.
It's difficult to get machining done now here in Bristol(UK). I'm thinking of having my barrels relined but can't find anyone in the area to do it - could anyone recommend
I am puzzled by the numbers on what is described as 1961 Manx frame, it looks like three rows of characters the top not very clear, ??B followed by 991 and what looks like EGC at the bottom row.
Now I've got to put all of the dirty plates back in before she comes home!
Restoration of 750 Commando engine that I am undertaking has the additional oil feed to the camshaft taken off the rocker feed as supplied by Mr Dunstall in days of yore.
