Messing about with this carb for 2 years had 3 attempts at re-tuning it. It does start just, but pops,bangs, misses tick over is lumpy and air screw/throttle adjustment does work but below 1000rpm it just fades and stops.
Just fitted 2 new coils to my 850 mk2 and checked with the plugs out and there is no spark.I’m pondering putting the old coils back on and checking again,is there any other things that I could have done to cause this and could check before I swap
I recently acquired a 1957 Model 50. I have a question about the clutch and transmission. As purchased the clutch has a solid pressure plate. Looking at the parts book, it shows an adjustable pressure plate with the center screw adjustment.
Because they seem to crush more than the paper one, with the following results, a slight mark on the pistons. And valve replacement, of course.

I am hunting for a period correct original Dunlop steel WM-3 40 spoke rear rim for a 1964 era Manx rear hub. Can anyone suggest where I might find an NOS or good used rim?

The primary chaincase on my '36 Model 18 leaks like a sieve so I've managed thus far by spraying chain lube through the inspection hole and hoping for the best.
Just fitting an Alton starter to my 72 Combat only to discover that the crank has 30 thou end float. I have covered about 15000 miles since buying the bike with no problems.
So, here is my tale of woe. 1947 350 40M engine. As fitted to my 1947 40 Manx.
Dommy 99 not pulling as it should do.
