Hi, I am looking for 2 sets of contact breaker and 2 condensers for my 1961 Jubilee. Any contacts (!) that I can try before the club spares scheme is up and running in August?
hi , I am reading the letter concerning oil pumps, I W commented on the Suzuki TL 1000and states that the Suzuki engineers placed the pump before the cartridge filter , hence the damage to it .
I first posted the question in the Heavy Twins section but it's really a general Q - especially as I've just bought a 1961 Navigator de Luxe off eBay!
I've got a 1966 Atlas that was fitted with Boyer electronic ignition when I bought it, but it went wrong, so I refitted the magneto.

Has anyone experience of fitting a 120 section or even a 130 section rear tyre to a mk3 commando ?
I realise I would need an 18" rim but curious to know what is the widest section tyre it"s possible to fit.

Some where inside this box of cyber space I spotted a chart that had info on gearbox numbers. I can't find it. Anyone know where it is, or similar info that outlines what the G102, G101 numbers indicate??

I've just fitted a single Mikuni VM34 to my 750 Commando, jetted IAW the american NOA notes. I could not get it to run properly at tickover.

I have an almost new (tread depth) but very old Avon GP 4.10 H 19 tire fitted to a WM2 19 rim.
These were standard equipment on Norton Commando front and rear roadster and combat models ?

What is the difference between a 99 engine and a 99S engine please.

Hi, I've bought an Amal Mk2 from RGM for my 77' Mk3, it was supplied witha 15pilot jet in the float bowl and a blanking screw in the carb body, is this right? do you leave the blanking screw in position?

Hi to one and all. I have a '76 850 ES which has been converted to belt drive and has most of the ES guts removed. I do have the starter motor which is the original 2-Brush type and one of the gears but no sprag clutch etc.
The battery on my 72 commando vented acid from the breather pipe.I didnt notice till too lateresulting in a nightmare of corrosion at the alloy rear wheel, chain guard, brake linkage etc.
I know very little about what constitutes 'concours' standards but assume it must have the bike looking like it did ex-works.
Whilst I am interested in standard Nortons (own a fairly standard 1946 Model 18) I'm sure that I can't be alone in having an interest in Norton specials. (as well as my model 18 I have a heavily modified Commando.
Anyone have an idea where I could find an air filter for my 650 Mercury? It is hot and dusty here in Cape Town and I would prefer to filter out the bits.
