Fuel tank leak

HI, the fuel tank on my Sport started leaking from the seal between the fuel pump and underside of the tank. When I discovered it, it was leaking about a tablespoon a minute. There was fuel all over the engine and floor, removing the floor paint and the spark plug recess was full of petrol. Luckily I smelt the petrol when opening the garage door so did not turn any lights on.

I had to remove the tank to drain it to stop the leak. The fuel pump housing seal is visible looking at the edge of the fuel pump/tank join and the tank is not flat in this area. I took the tank to the factory nearly 3 weeks ago. The service manager, Sean Kynnersley told me it is going to be discussed at the warantty meeting this Wednesday.

Has anybody had a similar problem? If so what did Norton do about it? The bike is 18 months old and has done 847 miles.
