Hi all, happy new year.
Tyres for original rims on !956 Domi.88 Sugestions ? Thanks, Campbell, P.S, Anna what about your light switch for same bike.?
Hi,
I recently bought a 1970 roadster which needs a lot of work to get back on the road. To speed things up and as the engine needs a complete rebuild.
just wondering. as they made Nortons capable of pulling a side car plus passengers / luggage. how is it that they didn't seem to make heavy duty clutches and uprated more powerfull brakes for those bikes as an option.
A merry Christmas to all,
I am currently checking-out the 930 concentric carb on my Mercury.
The jetting seems to be as per the book - apart from the float level.
Whilst looking for something else, I have found a part from a 650ss that I sold in 1973. I believe that the current owner may be a member but am not sure if it is appropriate to include the Registration number on here.
Looking for the bolt with wedge that locks in the headset to the front neck , I do have wedge spacer that goes on opposite side. Thanks Guy
While leafing through my Christmas copy of Motor Cycle News I was delighted to read a very positive and balanced review of a Norton Commando Sport up for sale at a dealer with a couple of thousand miles on the clock.
Hi all, some time this year I will probably bite the bullet and rebuild my late Navigator engine which is getting close to needing a re-bore.
Happy holidays everybody!
Now I'm back home at my moms where the ES2 is stored, and now I'm working on on the old girl.
The goals for the holidays are:
- Sorting out the poor electrical work inside the headlamp.
On a 38 ES2 with a Panel tank.Where is the speedo drive taken from? Gearbox?

Congratulations for this project.
The tutorails on DVD produced by NOC with the experienced know how of Mick Hemmingss are not only very useful for many of us but will also preserve this knowledge as a piece of living history.
Hi
I thought some of you may be interested in viewing a few photos of my low cost front and rear brake upgrade. Many have carried out similar modifications before, nothing brand new here, just my approach to a well known problem.
Here's one to ponder over xmas. I'm trying to remove the stator. Ive disconnected the bullet connectors in fact I had to cut them off . The connectors had probably not been removed in 47 years.
Hello, now, would standard 99 pistons fit into a bored out 88? bit of a long shot but I have 2 sets of standard 99 pistons, so would be good.
Just been to the oncologist and my riding/driving days are over. What a pisser. Just got my Commando sorted after 43 years too. Such is life.
Today my Roadholder magazine dropped through my letter box like a little early Christmas present, which made me think how much I would like to thank our Editor for all his hard work and dedication to keep the standards and interest as high as they
Roadholder arrived today with a warning that our old bikes will face a £12.50 charge in Central London - 24 hours, 7 days, including holidays.

Has anyone got a clear pic of the above in situ they could post here please. Along with its component parts it wasn't with the bike when I bought it. Have looked on-line but I couldn't find any clear decent pics.
My MK3 had the electric starter missing when I bought it, along with all the relevant parts so I'm replacing everything. I bought one of the small mini starters plus heavy-duty cables. I also have the Boyer MK4 fitted as part of the upgrade.

Back in the early-mid seventies as a young teenager I wrote to NVT naÃ?vely requesting a brochure on the 250 Jubilee, which I hoped would be my first 'real' bike.
Reading a recent article on the world record holder Super Nero, It appears that with the motor producing 130 bhp on Dope a run was made at 190 mph. For this attempt the best tyre availiable was a standard road Avon SM !!.
I acquired a '57 Inter and have since restored it. The bike was sold in London when new and at some stage ended up in Australia. The engine and frame have matching numbers (engine 71791 M11, frame 11 71791).
