Looking for some advice regarding my commando. I have a 72 J P N replica which i built 20 years ago with original J P N body work i got in the 70s.

I have stripped my Commando 2A gearbox this winter to examine it after installing the layshaft roller bearing mod a few (like 20) years ago. All is well. But there is a small crack in the gearbox shell.

Hi all,

Has anyone used MAP parts on their 850 Commando ?

They sell long con rods and short, light weight pistons which are similar to the items JS Enginering sells.

I'm thinking of using them to help reduce vibation.

Hi chaps just bought a model 18 1949 in bits and boxes has not been on the road since 1968 just started to renovate and need some parts I need a carb. Amal 76/022. A large Lynette seat.

Navigator rectifier wiring

My bike still has the original Wipac rectifier. I notice that there is a short wire linking the earth point (the central bolt) to the nut at the other end of the bolt. Is this to ensure a good earth by, in effect, doubling up the earth points?

mudguard grab rail

changing my 56 19s cafe racer back to normal. just wondering if anyone knows the measurement of the mudguard grab rail arrowed in the photo. the bike had some short home made ones on it originally.
