Mk2a Exhaust Nut
Please can you let me have a steer about tightening an exhaust nut.
From what I have read the technique seems to be get a well fitting spanner and a long length of pipe and pull/push hard. Repeat as required after rides.

No previous experience of timing up anything - but every day is a school day…

WARNING SUSPECT SCAM I have just had a Suspesus interest in a item I have for sale from Albert Nunez wanting my bank details. He is NOT a member and has a Russian email address.
Can anyone tell me how to pipe up oil tank to engine. There are 2 connections in bottom of oil tank, the feed has a filter so which port in the crank case does this one go in to.
My '55 Model 88 has a single Ewarts petrol tap with opposed main and reserve sliders. Inside the soldered-on mesh filter screen, there is a 1/2" pipe, ostensibly for a reserve allowance. It actually gives 3 miles or so, after going onto reserve.
What is the capacity of a ‘58 Dommie oil tank up to the recommended level decal?

I am assembling a Navigator engine. I used a NOC sludge trap screw which is aluminium. It was installed and pinched. However you need to file the head of the screw flat to the crank as it will catch on the crank cases and jam up the crank.

The rear engine plate cover (top only but all over) has suffered petrol damage to paint work from petrol which dripped out of carb and I didn't notice. My nice glossy finish has been ruined sadly.
I just bought a diamond shape silencer. It can geometrically be put on both ways round. However the fixing bolt is nearer to one edge, and that must be the upper edge of the box.
To Clarify:
My Andover Norton workshop manual (publication number 00-4224) states;
Technical Data section A - Alternator type RM23: 180 watts
Can I canvas opinion on how your kickstart action operates? I have a current issue with mine and want to confirm I’m not looking at a problem that doesn’t exist.
This from Mr O - which he must have repeated many times…
I just wondered if anyone would tell me how to fit a front paddock stand to a mk 11 961. The stands I have seen have the twin spigot cradle type that fits at the base of the fork. However, I am concerned this may break off the front ABS sensor.
Apparently Alton do not have plans to supply a starter motor for use with heavy twins.
We have seen on our local news tonight that Stuart Garner has admitted investing money from 3 pension funds of which he was sole trustee. To be sentenced later this month. Derby Crown Court.
Hi, my 1951 ES2 is popping out of gear in 3rd & 4th, I guess it could be the pawl spring but not sure? Does anyone know somebody close to me, Midhurst, that could repair/advise as with only 2 reliable gears I cannot see myself getting too far
I just bought some replacement pillion footrest rubbers from the NOC shop but they don't fit - the hole seems to be too small to fit over the footrests
Dear all,
I am in the process of stripping down my May 1964 'late' Navigator engine and discovered three very interesting things:
Have booked a 4 person cabin 2 of us. (2 person cabins all gone). There are 2 bunk beds unoccupied, and we would be delighted to sublet. Quarter of the cabin rental works out approx £120 per bed for the duration of the rally.
