N15cs camshaft

Just putting a N15 (Atlas) engine together - it was in bits when I got it - just noticed the camshaft timing side has 3 woodruff key slots in it spaced at 120 deg? I thought Norton cams had single key slot.

Piston rings

Does anyone know a company which sells piston rings, though by size rather than for a specific bike?

Confession - this is not for a Norton, though I do have three...

aftermarket stanchions

Hi , just wondering what the current opinion of aftermarket fork stantions is  , i am finding pairs of them on ebay that claim to be hard chromed and ground that are cheaper than a single tube from AN , but also older posts on other sites warning

seized piston

I was wondering if anybody might have some suggestions as to how to free a seized piston from its barrel, it is still attached to the con-rod which is still attached to the crankshaft via a seized big-end.

Plunger centre stand

Some time ago someone posted pictures of a pedal extension to make getting the bike up on the centre stand easier (well it couldn't be harder...). Stupidly I didn't take a copy of the pics. Any chance of reposting the details?

I was wondering if anyone can help me out? I have recently been gifted a Fastback from a family member in Canada and I am just trying to work out the age of the frame.

Navigator Clutch issues

I have been having an intermittent problem with the clutch, when the bike is hot some times the clutch slips when trying to re-start the engine, Reading the brilliant compendium and Andy's advice I have boiled the friction plates in washing powder

Auto advance mechanism

Should I be able to move the cam assembly easily about 10 degrees clockwise and anti clockwise against the auto advance mechanism and there be no evidence of springing back to relax the spring in the magneto end?

Lately I have been struggling with an unreliable  gear change on the 99.   It has standard and orriginal parts ,but my size 9/10  boots  (Daytona's )  just won't fit under easily for up changes.
