I am assembling a Navigator engine. I used a NOC sludge trap screw which is aluminium. It was installed and pinched. However you need to file the head of the screw flat to the crank as it will catch on the crank cases and jam up the crank. I couldn’t figure it out for a while as the crank jammed when I tightened the screws. I know I have the right bearing with the chamfered shoulder so it confused me until I dis-assemble the crank from the case and then it dawned on me.
