Could someone please tell me the lenth and pitch of the drive chain to fit my 1935 Norton ES2. Thanks.
After three years of sitting in my garage I had a couple of days to see if I could get the old girl running, she's not a restoration, I'm just trying to put together a cheap buy on eBay into (a box of bits) into a usable classic.
I'm pretty sure many of us would like to be aware of other fellow members who might be living nearby after all we are in the same club and we are all a friendly bunch aren't we?
HI . I am looking for my old es2,which i believe is now in the Oxford area. If the current owner would contact me i have information on the bikes history and its original number. Alan
I'm ready to remove the engine and gearbox from my 1959 Dommie 99 with just the primary side to dismantle but I'm having trouble undoing the clutch centre nut. My rattle gun won't shift it even after plenty of WD 40 and a gas blowlamp.
I've just got a pair of new +40 Hepolite pistons from Norvil for the N15CS. I expected to have to heat the piston to insert the gudgeon pin, but these are a sliding fit cold.
Hi all,
I found in my Model 18, 1947 a threaded hole in the sump, as see in the attachment.
Can anyone tell me what is the purpose of it?
Thanks in advance,
Hans in Chile.
I have an irritating leak of fork oil from my long Roadholders. It's coming from the bottom bolt that threads into the pressure tube. I can't fit a fibre washer, the wheel spindle will foul on the bolt head.

Anyone know what has happened to Ken in NZ, I've sent him few orders but no reply, no reply to e-mails either........
I have now uploaded all of the 2013 issues of Roadholder in the revised format which means that everything back to Rh302 may be read by logged-in Members on most devices.
Hi,
I've asked on facebook, and been informed there is no formal meet at the Manx GP this year. How many are going and does anyone fancy meeting up?
Cheers,
What colour was the two side cover insides painted originally?
Were they the body colour or were they white. I have one side white and the other side red (Red Bike) neither look original.
Hello all. Atlas crank rebuild. Been scanning the internet shelves for the above mentioned. Astounded at the difference in price of the 3/8th conrodbolts. Andover want £19.75 each, Norvil £12.50 & RGM £4.90 (all +VAT).
My 650SS has a RM21 12v 2 wire alternator, the wires coloured white with green stripe and green with yellow stripe. A modern rectifier is fitted, with 2 yellow wires in and a black and a red wire out.
Whats the best way to spray a Jubilee frame. Can it be sprayed bolted up or is it best to dismantle and spray parts individually.
Can anyone recommend a paint spray in the Manchester area
Thanks
John.
As a soon to be owner of a 1960 Dominator 99 I've been searching the internet for parts and suppliers etc. During my searches I've seenadvertisements for both Boyer Branson and Pazan electronic ignition conversion sets.
On a run out for about 30 miles. The clutch lever free play increased all of a sudden. the result massive drag. Had to adjust the cable at the gear box adjuster with no free play to get home .
Could someone tell this newbie where it is please ? ('64 Navigator)

Can anyone help in knowing the trick of removing the roller race and back plate on a single spring Sturmey CS single spring clutch. My bearing has worn which means the basket float's about and makes a lot of noise.
As I am in Melbourne, Oz and tend to buy spares from the U.K., I have just received a new wiring harness ordered for my 1953 Model 7. It is a new harness, correct with cloth braiding and in a new Lucas box.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing the attached? I've tried to find out but simply don't have the expertise to nail it down.
I was looking at the "Gallery" of members machines but could not see how to send in any of one's photos. Could someone tell me how this is done please.....just where on this site is the page for it? I have looked.
