Hmm, still confused. Mine is a post 106838 gearbox with the oil level plug just below the inspection/filler plate, as in the attached pic. Still can't locate the drain!

I think I've located the rascal (see pic) - nearer to the centreline of the bike than where I was looking, and lurking beneath a clotted mass of grass and oil!

Well done....I was going to suggest the likelihood of it being hidden under a mass of greasy road filth. You'll soon see if you have the right one when it's removed so put the drain pan there first before exploring.
