Manx GP Meet?

Hi,

I've asked on facebook, and been informed there is no formal meet at the Manx GP this year. How many are going and does anyone fancy meeting up?

Cheers,

Hi,

I got the below from a Facebook message when I asked.

"the branch do meet at Laxley whilst the mgp is on and a number of members do go to Jurby"

I'm camping up at ballaugh bridge, but will have a bike and van so can meet anywhere. If the local Branch use Laxley could find which is their usual pub and meet there? I assume it's the Shore Hotel as there was an official meet there during the 2015 GP.

Laxey will be fine, just need date and time!.

This year we're going for a little longer so I'm there for 2 weeks from the 23rd of Aug with the family so whenever is convenient for anyone else really.

I think the usual meet is at the Shore Inn in Laxey on the Tuesday (30th). Northumbria branch normally organise it, I'm going to ring them and find out what I can.

Well I gave Roger Caple a ring and he confirmed the 30th will be the meet but it may move due to flood damage to a bridge? I've dropped the Northumbria branch a message on their website as I couldn't find anyone to pester on the phone.

VMCC - has a bit going on over the whole period as well.

Hi All

The traditional Manx GP Reunion will be held as usual at the Shore Hotel, Laxey on Tuesday 30th August. Derek Fox on behalf of the Essex Branch has organised this event for the last few years and is doing so again this year

The hotel is providing a BBQ from 3 pm onwards.

I have spoken to Derek this evening and he confirms that the arrangements are in hand. Apologies for the lack of publicity which was an oversight.

Cool, thanks for the info, I'll be there with my brother and family.

I'll be going to Jurby too, see people over there!

I'm also camping at Ballaugh, although I'm not taking the Norton because it only has a single seat and I will have my wife with me. I'll be on the Triumph Trophy but hope to get to the reunion meeting.
