The DVLA can assign an age related registration number if your bike does not have one
If you have a pre-war motorcycle that is all original but you don't have a log book or registration number for it
My Primary Drive Oil Bath Seal that sits between the Outer casing and the backing plate on my Model 30 has remnants of it having been sealed with a form of black silicon.
Hello all, can you help, my 1970 roadster has a misfire and on investigation I found it was overcharging[17/18v plus] 12.5v at rest so checked [pod] reg/rec[single phaze] all ok.
On my Electra parts list there is a "stud for crankcase oil filter", number 24562. In the NOC shop lightweight twins section there is a "stud for sump plate but not MAG/SUMP", number 17399. Does anyone know if these are the same thing?
As the picture shows, I've replaced my standard clutch lever with this dog-leg item (£5 in an autojumble).
I have a 1957 Norton Model 50 / 350 and trying to find which springs I need for the front brake shoe return spring, side stand spring and centre stand spring; and where to get them from.
Hi everyone, I have decided to make my IP2 look Classic[ish]. I have what might be a Classic Wiring loom, the IP2 loom and An IP2 workshop manual. Can anyone help me with;
* do I have a twin rotor or single rotor model, how can I tell?
I am now moving on to rebuild my gearbox since a mainshaft bearing collapse (on top of the various other mistreatment and bodges the bike has been assailed with) seems to have been the reason why the bike was pushed into a shed 35 plus years ago.<
I have a 1957 Norton Model 50 / 350 and am replacing the springs in the road holder forks but am uncertain which ones I need. Can anyone please advise and where I could purchase them from?
Many thanks
Having had my first ride in quite a while under Norton power, the bike is running much richer than it used to. I know fuels have changed, but on my other bikes I haven't had to rejet in the last 10 years, so I suspect the answer is elsewhere.
Hi all,
What is the correct clutch cable length for a Commando with standard european bars? Have been using 51", but is it right?
When I ran the clutch cable to the gearbox it wanted to go between the 2 oil lines which is where I ran it, and it is up against the inner oil line after running it for a few hundred miles.
I am waiting for information from the USA re E10 and how it can damage my 3 Kawasaki engines, I also have two, a mid 80s and early 90s BMW Triples and now fear my two Norton's will be prejudiced more seriously, by the introduction of E10, as will
There is always a problem working on an old engine that has been rebuilt by someone else, I have recently removed the primary chaincase and a large thin steel narrow washer fell out, it didn't seem to have a location and was held there by grease.
Having finally stripped my 1938 16H basket case engine, I find I didn't realise it has two 'main' bearings on the drive side. Unless my memory has really failed me, I'm sure the 16H engine I built 30 years ago had just a single ball-race (thrust
I am thinking of fitting one of the side stands advertised in the NOC shop to my Navigator. However, from experience on other bikes I have a healthy suspicion of how secure bolt on stands are, how well they hold the bike up, whether they foul the

First slow running in test rides up to 65 miles has not shown any strange behaviour

Feel for the guy, but... it can happen to anyone, limited lock? looks like High Beech Epping area, or somewhere round there?
I'm looking at replacing my MK3 Amal twin carb set up with either a pair of Amal premiers or a Mikuni single carb conversion, I must admit I do prefer the twin carb set up for originality and looks but I really want the reliability too, I have had
Hi All,
Can anybody help with the above?
The cap is absolutely solid and all I want to do is check the oil level.
Having covered 250 miles the running in period seems to be going fine, a few nuts and bolts needed tightening plus an annoying oil leak from an exhaust rockercover which won't seal up yet. And of course head tightness checked at least 3 times
I understand different yokes were recommended, when fitting a sidecar. What is the difference, and is it obvious to the eye?
