Dave Rademacher here in Minnesota. I've had my bike a number of years but am still a rookie asking questions and trying to learn. The bike is a 1954 Norton Big 4.
I have a new motorcycle ignition switch 30amp rated, four position. Thinking of fitting it in the side panel.
Recently sourced some appropriate items for the task of adding an oil pressure sensor and warning light to my Commando Mk3.
Are the front and rear Jubilee brake shoes the same.
Thanks
John.
Good Morning Troops,
Im seeking the June 2010 copy of The Roadholder magazine to complete my collection.
I wonder if any members of our group would have a copy going begging?
Thanks in anticipation,
Kind regards,
Does anyone know or can anyone tell, if these are actually for the Manxman? I understood it had a unique exhaust.

If you are planning a bike trip abroad via France, this information might be helpful.
Hi all
I have a 1957 Dominator which came with a Boyer ignition. I'm fairly new on old British bikes and each winter I'm picking an area of the bike to take apart, check, repair, if needed and refit.
Have owners of earlier Nortons fitted more effective oil control rings instead of the standard cast iron slotted type?
I recently purchased a cylinder head hoping it was suitable for an 88SS. Now I can't quite remember why I thought this. I would be grateful if people could look at the photos and see what they think.
Having removed the valve on my 1962 Norton 650SS to clean out any sludge I have found that there are no shims inserted in the nut at the end of the assembly and yet the parts supplier indicates there should be 2.
Just acquired a 1971 Fastback. Returned to the UK from the States recently. Was there ever a metal tank made for this bike. It has the original fibreglass one which I know I can seal. I also know there the Indian ones for sale on ebay.
My Atlas is not charging and everything appears to be wired running correctly, the rotor centered in the stator. Would anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance
On my Norton 650SS 1962 model ought to be an oil filter between the oil tank and the timing case but I cannot find it.
My new build Dommie racer is fitted with a refurbished mag.
I have fitted a new Smiths electronic taco.
I was advised to also purchase a device to smooth out the pulses due to running via a mag instead of coil.
My 1959 magneto Dommie has been running fine until this week when I experienced slight stuttering and loss of power at low speed. Removed right hand plug found it very sooty, dry carbon and no oil evident.
Hi, I have oil leaking past jubilee clip on return spigot at oil tank it is a 71 roadster does anyone have any idea. Thanks Alan.
Hi NOCcers, I’m getting the hump. Or possibly not. One of what I laughingly call my projects but in reality is just a pile of bits is a 64/65-ish Atlas.
I just got my 1963 Atlas with magneto back on the road and having some trouble with the electrics. I converted to 12V with a Podtronics rectifier/regulator and fitted new RM21 stator, rotor, battery, PRS8 and new Lucas wiring harness.
I was at a show over the weekend when the Webb Damper knob on my 1930 model 19 broke. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could acquire one.
See photo attached.
Many thanks,
Rich
Following the articles in the last couple of Roadholders on refurbishing petrol tanks, can anyone recommend a rust remover?
I have enclosed a photo of the seat adoption that was recommended by this forum. Seems to work well. Also have enclosed a picture of the rear mudguard. It has 2 inserts and a hole for the bolt. Does this look accurate?
Well not quite. Central London currently has an “Ultra Low Emissions Zone” (ULEZ) that extends to, but does not include, the North and South Circular roads (so the Ace Caff is still accessible!).
Need to buy a new petrol tap for my atlas can somebody tell me the correct thread tap size please
OK, so this may be heresy to some (and it is my first post, so that is doubly dangerous!).
I have been putting in a few miles on a recently recommissioned 1930 Model 18. This is actually a '31 model, with the magdyno behind the cylinder.
