Just bought myself a 1971 Fastback to restore.
I saw this special "DOMMIE" at the BOB MAC RACES at EAST FORTUNE, looks like a SS Dommie, but closer look it has a commando bottom cases and Dommie 500 barrels" also fitted with electric start, and rev counter, it really is a fabulous bike ,
Hi, everyone! I did the craze and bought a nearly unused 961!!!
I gave up biking 2 years ago at 68 partly because I dropped my triton and hurt myself with a hole in my foot, and partly because she who must be obeyed said I was a silly old fool for thinking I could regain my lost youth by doing what young men d
Hello
My 1973 750 Interstate does not have the month and year of build stamped onto the red frame vin plate but is does have the frame number stamped underneath which incidentally matches the engine number
I have managed to fix most of the usual leak suspects but the sump ( which should be easy) has continued to frustrate me , I think the copper washers are too soft and are being extruded or crushed , I think a dowty washer may be the answer , have
I am in the middle of rebuilding the front forks on my '71 roadster. I cannot remove the fibre washer inside the bottom of one of the sliders as it seems impossible to get at. Any suggestions please?
Hi everyone,
Norton Mk3
Lots of misfires - just made it home!
Assumed carb issues, so removed, stripped and serviced them with original spares.
Checked for spark = No spark.
Checked all wiring etc.
My 1954 Dominator is burning oil. I have replaced the head gasket but there are still signs of oil at the joint. Should I use a flexible seal together with the copper gasket? If so which one?
I have a top feed carb with a new float and needle however it doesn’t seem to stop the flow of fuel!
any suggestions or if someone in Surrey can be recommended to take it to?
Evenin All, I bit the bullet & bought 1 of the 850 heads from AN.
Atlas dished (concave) pistons……are they available? I need a std pair for a rebuild.
Hi all - I am in the USA and I am building a 1/9 scale model of a 1933 BSA Blue Star 350 single from the Japanese company Model Factory Hiro . I wish it were a Norton - perhaps one day they will offer one .
Seapage. Same comments as on earlier topic for gearchange oil seal.
Mike
I have a slight leak from the gear change on my gearbox. I have had the cover off and replaced the oil seals a number of times. The problem seems to be solved for a while but eventually the seapage gradually returns.
Can anyone point me towards a suitable sump drain tap so that I dont have to unscrew the drain plug every time I want to drain the results of wet sumping?
I have an Interstate tank that i am going to use to replace my rotten fibre glass '71 Roadster tank but it needs painting. The glass tank is the sparkly blue colour.
Hi. I have fitted 12 volt Motogadget LED indicators to my 99 as I’m fed up with car drivers ‘not seeing’ my hand signals. I want to include a handlebar mounted warning light so I don’t forget to turn them off.
Hello folks
I’m appealing for some help to track down the following machines which carry a lot of family history and nostalgia:
ES2 reg. no. PSU 970, 1959 wideline. Built from parts in the early 90’s by my late father and I.

I needed to replace my speedo and rev counter bezels, glass etc. Prices started from 25.00 + VAT and upwards per clock. Total was around 65.00.

Today´s task was fitting the sludge trap plugs into the Jubilee´s crankshaft.
I cleaned out the sludge trap and startet to screw in the new plugs from the NOC.
I am posting in the hope that someone might know what is what with Norton gearboxes and give me some reassurance regarding the mainshaft and clutch centre fixing. If nobody knows, as they say, then no problem as I will carry on as it is.
