Been tinkering with my ES2 this evening, have straightened out the front mudguard and got the exhaust pipe fitting quite nicely. I noticed that the tool box is only held on by two bolts at the top going through lugs on the frame. This leaves the bottom free and it swings about a bit. Should there be a P clip or something down here? Itâs a â51 plunger frame and thereâs a big gap between the bottom of the box and the lower frame tube and I canât see any mention of it in the parts book, but it does seem a bit flimsy without anything there. Is there anything else securing the toolbox in place?

On my '51 easy2 there is a short plate of which one end isbolted to the backbottom R/H corner of the tool boxand the other end is bolted to the side of the rear guard. I don't know how original this is, but it steadies the box and is almost out of sight, tucked in behind. See if you have a small hole intool box where I describe.
