My 1936 ES2 has an oil feed line to the rocker box and two drains from that box which feed oil to the valve guides. Everything looks factory but the Norton folks here in the US owners say there should be no oil line to the top end, all should be externally oiled & greased. I have a friend in London who also has a 1936 ES2 and his has the drain fittings but does not have the obvious feed to the rocker box. Which is correct, and did Norton offer the oil line feed as an option? Virginia USA member #402047 My friend from London sent me the image attached to this conversation.
