Mick Hemmings did mine, excellent job, you will need to ring him. He bores out the old thread and welds a new insert which has the right thread, do not accept a bronze insert shrunk into a plain bored hole, eventually they spin.

I thought Mick Hemmings was retired and had sold his stock to Andover Norton. I might be wrong. I had mine helicoiled forty years ago by a guy in Croydon recommended by Norton themselves and it has been fine but not many people like helicoils nowadays. RGM probably do a repair service and Jim Comstock in the states does a very swish job with a milled thread solid insert.

He has stopped the parts side but keeps his hand in with the rest.
