I am restoring a 1935 Model 20 and i have a question about the oil tank and the 3 connection from it?
My mag chain goes from slack (< 1/2") to really tight as I turn the engine. I've fitted a new inlet cam bush so would guess that that end of the chain is running true so the only other culprit must be a wonky armature shaft?

I have just fitted a new clutch lever, cable and clutch plates to my lever operated AMC clutch and want to find the sweet spot for light clutch operation without clutch slip.
For anyone interested, I have just purchased and tested some BP Ultimate 97 in the midlands area and, to the limits of the test, it contained no ethanol.

Noticed there is a lot of messages (last year) on bike lift ramps. To save me trawling through them, does anyone have a preference.
My Commando was delivered to Gus Kuhn in May 1970.
Did Kuhn put on dealer stickers on the bikes?
If so how did they look and where were they located?
I've conclude that my '55 ES2 (but it applies to all bikes) is running somewhat retarded. I started it on full advance with no problem. The question is, the book says 47? advance but that was for National Benzole Mixture (or similar).
Hi on my Dominator 99 i seem to be missing a part from behind the stator to hold it in place? can any one confirm what is missing and what it is called.

Hello All,
I put my crankcases back together today--I used the gasket from a set i bought. I nearly put the cams in the wrong holes. I looked at the manual and it identifies the exhaust as being the forward shaft.
Eee, there's always something!
Re-assembling the primary cover I discovered that the thread for the drain bolt has stripped. It looks to me as if this can be tapped out to take a slightly larger bolt - any advice on size/thread?

Does anyone happen to have mud guards for a 1959 Jubilee they would be willing to part with or are you aware of others that would fit please?
My newly rebuilt Electra is in need of a sidestand. Does anyone have a spare they would like to sell or know of another that would fit. I know the club has new ones but I don't want to part with 129 pounds to get one.
