I've been looking for this part for quite awhile now and suddenly our spares scheme has a few repro's. I ordered one and found a dummy battery and the required clips from other sources. I'm unclear on the means of attachment of the clips to the carrier, so if you have one, a photo would be appreciated. Google so far unrewarding.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Michael
I have taken some pictures of the Lucas T battery as fitted to my Inter (although now hollowed out) which might make the fittings and installation a bit clearer. Unfortunately your clips are not like the originals. I think you will just have to fit them to the battery mounting studs.

Nick

Hi Michael
My 1938 ES2 uses this system but it is wrapped up for winter. However the pre-war BSA that I am working on also has a similar set-up.
The battery casing needs two holes drilled each side (about 4mm diameter) to allow the lower ends of the clip to locate. I mounted two 5/16 studs on each arm of the battery mounting bracket and drilled the underside of the "T" on the casing to match these.
Purists may argue originality but as the battery is fake anyway.......
