Recently picked up a beautiful 1957 (at least according to the title) Domi 99.
Already found alot of good info here. Looks to be a good group : )
Working on finding the true date of manufacture.

Hi Chris, The Club provides a dating service. email twinrecords@nortonownersclub.org
I suggest that you do not publish your engine and frame numbers, although only members can post on this site it is available for all to view. Knowing this information can assist scammers who are often asked for information about a bike they are falsely offering for sale. Lovely bike by the way. Tim

Hi Chris
Nice looking bike! You might want to have a look at this link: http://www.bmh.com.au/norton/index.php?id=modelnum for year numbers.

Nice looking machine Chris! It looks about right for a 1957/8. It appears to have a magneto, but no dynamo, both of which the '57 model had. They changed to coil ignition and alternator for 1958. Maybe yours has mag + alternator? Bear in mind that the following years' specification were usually manufactured from around October the previous year, so a late '57 build could be in 1958 spec, for example, so dispatch or 1st registration records can usually clarify that situation.

Restored in 2011 and well taken care of since then. Not many miles placed on it by the previous owner (he had too many bikes to choose from) but I plan on riding it religiously.

Only for trips to church on a Sunday, presumably. Very nice bike by the way. I'm envious.
