I am a novice seeking inspiration to identify why I cannot produce spark on my 99 Dominator, it could be something simple I've overlooked or not.  

What are the dimensions of the 600cc dominator crankshaft -

especially where the drive side oil seal sits?

To avoid oil drips from the breather pipes particularly when parked I have fitted an aluminium catch tank behind the gearbox on my 1956 Dommie 99.

Can anyone point me to where I can get a rack to fit 961 SF? The bike has the split seat which has what looks like substantial mounting points (see photo) on the base but I can’t find any suppliers.

Has anyone examined the Lucas ATD to find out how quickly it advances to full advance, and what would be ideal?  I get the idea that it advances too rapidly, so what remedies?  I am thinking of stronger springs, or lightening the bob weights.  But

My 1936 model 18 had an aluminium head gasket fitted but according to the parts book for 1936 there shouldn't be one. Which explains why I couldn't find one in the catalogues of the usual suppliers.

Apologies if this has been covered before - I've had a root around prior to this post.

Venturing into resetting my twin monoblocks after a complete strip down and I got to wondering why it has been necessary to remove the choke, blank off the choke cable adjuster and blank off the throttle stop on one carb.

Any tips or guidance for centering the front wheel of my 56 Wideline Dominator. I seem to have the wheel rim 10 mm closer to the offside leg than the nearside leg. I don't see a spacer on any of the drawings but should there be one?

I've just come across this (has it been here long?) Excellent and saves hours of scrolling through stuff.

My 961 SF (2014) has a persistent leak from around the drive shaft.

I have seen spray on chrome mentioned, several times, on these pages.  Am I correct in assuming this is a plastic, and, unsuitable for hot surfaces (e.g. silencers)?

After renovation of Commando and installing electronic ignition, the first try to kickstart resulted in painful kickback. The instructions with the Boyer unit were followed.

Rewiring my 99 Dominator which at some point has been converted to 12v and a modern ish regulator/rectifier fitted.

Hello,  Needing to tighten up the 1947 M18 magneto chain.  Is it just a case of pivoting the magdyno?  Will i need to re-time the spark?  Sorry - beginner's question!    Thanks .

I have just ordered some new tank grips for my 1949 ES2, the originals had a metal plate inside making them keep their shape, the new ones are rubber and do not stay to the same shape of the tank when the single bolt is secured.

I have installed an RGM belt drive kit on my 1956 Dominator 99 which has a G8 laydown gearbox and cannot get adequate push rod movement to actuate the clutch efficiently.

Hello. Just fitting front and rear Vernier isolastic upgrade to my 73 model 750. I purchased the kits from RGM, the kits utilise your existing centre bolts My question is should the central bolt through the centre be a snug fit?

Hi, I am thinking about upgrading the front brake on my 73 850 Roadster using the RGM  Lockheed racing caliper kit.

Almost the last job before finally being able to start the build up of what was a sad, butchered Mk3 wreck (approx. 60% had to be replaced or was incorrect/not present) is to refurbish the fork yokes.

I'm rebuilding a 99 600cc (SS?) and just taken the barrels off. 

You can see the damage in the attached photos.

The pistons are stamped +020 so it's had one rebore.  From the cylinder scoring it needs another.

looking for somewhere I can get hold of a trip reset knob for my 1973 750 commando. fits from underneath and not the side. does any one know if they are the same as the side type, wondering if I could buy one and somehow lengthen it..

Can anybody advise the correct length for an Atlas exhaust valve? I believe they are the same as the Dominator as the parts list indicates.

This morning I pulled the crankshaft apart on my barn find Domi 99. In a previous post I mentioned that a large chunk of the drive side oil seal support face in the left-hand crankcase was missing.

On my 1964 Atlas with boyer ignition and regulator/rectifier + new battery, with the engine running the ammeter shows no charge.
