Cylinder head nut

I have a full set of tools but I am blowed if I can get a spanner to tighten the rear upside down nut on the cylinder head of my 1956 Dominator 99.  I can get a partial turn but no more.

Wideline Shock Absorbers

Anyone tell me what top/bottom shock bushes the original 1956 Wideline frame had? I have a 1956 frame that seems to have 3/8 top bush and 5/16 bottom.

Also did they have 11.9' for 12.9' inch units as standard? Current set it 12.9'

16H tyres

I’m going to replace both my tyres this winter and was wondering if there are any good dealers to approach for these please? I was going to visit my local tyre dealer, however thought I’d check first Just in case?

Electra Oil Leak

I intended trying out my recent Electra purchase (first foray into British bikes) before going too deep into the oil leak(s) however I have decided the leak is too severe to allow this.

F1 Dommie 99?

Hi. My ‘project’ 1960 Dommie 99 frame has a small lug projecting from the lower edge of the headstock (possibly a steering stop?) - photos below. On that lug is the stamping ‘F1’. Does anyone know what it means?

Clutch slipping

I have an early Commando and suffer with a little clutch slip when under load pulling away, the clutch bite point on the lever is at the end of its travel. A couple of questions if I may.

Use of club funds

After a pleasant ride out today and catching up with our local club members (at a socially distanced venue) for a natter over butties and a flask of tea or two.

Speedo gear wheel

I have just received a speedo gear wheel for rigid Norton single. It threads onto a boss inside the brake drum. But, sadly, its inside diameter is 54mm  whereas the outside diameter of the boss is only 52mm!

20” Inner Tubes

Any one out there know of a source for Inter rear tyres and tubes(20”) I’m looking for a couple of 3.50/4.00-20 tubes and can’t find any through the usual sources.
