Hi, has any one fitted led bulbs ?

if so are they any good and is it possible to get 6 volt for a positive Earth Norton ? I have a feeling that they will only be suitable for negative earth.

On stripping my MK3 gearbox i find the neutral switch rivet head on the cam plate is badly grooved (see pic), can this be easily replaced ?

Any tips gladly received.

My Electra came with a speedo marked up to 80 mph. I have been reading that the Electra might do 90 mph. Do I have an incorrect speedo fitted? Just curious as I don't expect to be getting to this speed level.

I've been riding my recently acquired navigator, done about 60 miles now.  I'm surprised how noisy the exhaust note is.  I think rather too noisy, I wouldn't want to ride any great distance without ear plugs!  The silencers look to be of the type/

I am aware that this topic seems redundant. However, I have some news (I guess), and a solution.

I have a 1972 model and I rarely use the side stand as it leans the bike over a lot and to me it looks to far. On investigation I don't have a normal set up, the fixing point on the frame on mine is missing.

Hi if anyone can help out with this? Had a very frustrating experience having bought new steel side panels one from AN and one off ebay. Beautifully painted but they dont fit!!! Decided to go with original old stock.

My 1956 Dominator 99 has a bad clatter from the engine. Very audible.

It is not a bearing rumble. nor a tappet rattle, nor a chain slap.

It seems to be coming from the front of the engine.

Does anyone know which model this cover is likely to be from?

It is stamped inside with 19256, Birmal, and 53. The 3 holes are for a tacho drive I assume.

The ES2 was really easy to start until I filled a nearly empty Primary Chain Case with 1/2 pint of oil.

could it be linked or is it just a coincidence ?

Regarding pre war speedometers as fitted into the panel in petrol tank on a 1938 Model 18 and 16H :-

Were these chronometric or some other type ?

Were they 2:1 ratio or some other ratio ?

Can any recommend where I can have a full restoration done on my 1947 model 18 fuel tank, including a re-chrome, anti-ethanol lining etc?

Hi. My basket case Dommie 99 (1960) came with a very tatty oil tank/battery box mounting platform so I’ve been looking for a better one.

Considering how I built the seized, rusty,water filled  Basket case  25+ years ago with very little other than a rebore ,valve grind and new shells, its done very well.

I have carb bodies marked R300 928 and L301 928. In both cases there is no hole for the pilot jet . Please see photos. Is this how they were made ?
