Hi, has any one fitted led bulbs ?

if so are they any good and is it possible to get 6 volt for a positive Earth Norton ? I have a feeling that they will only be suitable for negative earth.

Hi all,

On stripping my MK3 gearbox i find the neutral switch rivet head on the cam plate is badly grooved (see pic), can this be easily replaced ?

Any tips gladly received.

Electra speedo

My Electra came with a speedo marked up to 80 mph. I have been reading that the Electra might do 90 mph. Do I have an incorrect speedo fitted? Just curious as I don't expect to be getting to this speed level.

Silencers

I've been riding my recently acquired navigator, done about 60 miles now.  I'm surprised how noisy the exhaust note is.  I think rather too noisy, I wouldn't want to ride any great distance without ear plugs!  The silencers look to be of the type/

Side Stand

I have a 1972 model and I rarely use the side stand as it leans the bike over a lot and to me it looks to far. On investigation I don't have a normal set up, the fixing point on the frame on mine is missing.

Hard to start

Hi, it’s me again.

The ES2 was really easy to start until I filled a nearly empty Primary Chain Case with 1/2 pint of oil.

could it be linked or is it just a coincidence ?

it was all going so well !

Chain case Rubber Bung

Hi, I have a 1954 ES2.

it is now very close to getting back on the Road after more than 35 years. But I am struggling to find the part number or supplier for the large rubber inspection bung on the primary chain case cover.

Regarding pre war speedometers as fitted into the panel in petrol tank on a 1938 Model 18 and 16H :-

Were these chronometric or some other type ?

Were they 2:1 ratio or some other ratio ?
