Annoyed with myself that I cannot sort this......
had to replace the rear brake drum sprocket, so also fitted new chain and gearbox sprocket obviously needing complete dismantling of primary side.
Hi, unfortunatley Ive had a disaster with my Orange 850 commando petrol tank with fuel leaking under the paint and bubbling it up so I need it repainted.
Anyone know the width of a standard wideline frame rear cross member?

There is a Norton Atlas for sale in Finland, 1962, frame & engine number 101866 and then 20 for the Atlas model. I wonder whether this can be correct? Best Regards Ragnar
Bike is 1959 Dommi 99. In case this is relevant to the problem it has a commando clutch.
My leak may well be from the washer - even though I have changed it... but can anyone tell me what this cut out in the mixing chamber body is for and why it exposes a hole in the jet block? Is this normal?
I have very recently purchased a 1949 ES2 with a cast iron barrel. I keen to source a good maintenance manual as am so new to this. Can anyone advise please.

The monoblock on my 99 is orriginal but has very little body wear and a new chromed brass slide.What wear it has is less slop than the new carb I bought some years ago for the Atlas,so you may understand my reluctance to buy new!.
This happened after a couple of minutes at 70mph some years ago. I blamed preignition at the time, but I heard no pinking. It permanently knocked my confidence in the bike. But there is no sign of preignition burning the carbon off the piston.
Just completed the latest survey and can’t see how it would help the club to plan for the future, as there was no where to leave comments or suggestions. What do other members think?
I have looked at some exploded diagrams but can't seem to discern what would go in the vacant hole in the pic attached: it runs inside towards the sump drain bolt and seems to be threaded for about 4cm. It does not seem to be a crankcase bolt.
Hi all - I am tidying up a running 1936 Model 50, and I noticed two plastic tubes coming from the rocker box down to the valve stems. The exhaust side plastic tube being more heated is partially melted!
My 1955 single seems very reluctant to go into first gear from a standstill, is there anything to adjust that would cure this problem. The clutch frees fine and I have no problem changing up or down in the other gears

Just opened my dollshead gearbox up and noticed after the N number it has 3 degrees stamped on 2 of the gears. Does anyone know what this relates to? Many thanks all always.

Can someone advise me what battery will fit into a Mk2 A Roadster battery tray to run my Alton electric starter, I have a Motobatt MB9U battery in at the moment and is 11 Amp rating and not the 18 Amps that Alton requires.
