On checking the ignition timing recently using the measurement in mm BTDC method and failing to get the 7.8mm position I needed, thought, I have 7.0mm, How far out is that?
Iâve attached an Excel worksheet, to use SAVE attachment and then load into spreadsheet (should load into others), into which you can enter (type over red ) your own engine details and see the answer. You can also see why working with the retard setting is tricky. These are calculations not a practical exercise. Have fun.
