More magneto mire

Forums

Managed finally to get all the parts back into the mag only to find that the driving-end cover will not go on properly. It stops with about a 1/16" gap between the cover and the body. It is prevented from moving any closer by the locking nut.

Re: Norton 99 1959

Forums

Would someone be kind enough to tell me the correct thread size for the 5/16 front fork studs (4) which retain the front mudguard support bridge. They go into the ally lower fork leg and I guess they are either BSF or BSW.

Thanks

Bashed battery platform

Forums

Attached is a picture of the battery platform that I've just removed from my bike. As can be seen, someone has taken a blunt instrument to the front end in such a way as to lower the height relative to the front mounting ears.

Tents

I'm in the process of buying a new tent for rallying and general camping. I'm looking at a Coleman Coastline 3 Plus. Has anyone any experience of this tent. Alternatives seem to be the Lichfield Arisaig 3 person and the Vango Beta 350 XL.

Indian yokes

A friend has lost the yokes for his 1926 16H. Has anyone got a set.

Thanks Robert

Gearbox gaskets

Forums

Whilst rebuilding my gearbox I noticed that there is only a 1/4" hole between the outer case and the inner chamber to allow oil to level between the two.

Mike.....new member

Please can anyone help with a problem I am having regarding my Norton 961 Commando. The fuel tank fixings have been replaced once already and the tank seems to be still a bit loose fitting especially on the right side.
