Hi I thought I'd chucked in an LED bulb as slightly brighter than standard bulbs, but pop - fuse went!?  
Knowing little about 1961 / converted lectrics, is this expected?

Hi. Where the brass sleeve goes over the output shaft that leads to the clutch, (see attached picture), should there be a seal or o ring on one side of the sleeve?

Another one I'm afraid. I've noticed that my bike is missing the centre stand arm part number 21165 . The one supplied by the NOC shop says it's the early type (along with the special nut). Will this one fit my bike?

Ordered parts during afternoon tea-break last Thursday — delivered Monday morning and installed in the afternoon!

Is it possible to convert indicators to LED bulbs using both 062045LED flasher relay and 382LED bulbs (x4) for MKIII Commando which includes a deck flasher repetition bulb ?

Recommendations for anyone/engineering concern that can undertake the necessary to convert a good pre Mk3 NOS cradle to take a cottered spindle please?

There's an appreciable amount of end float on the shaft that carries the output sprocket on my Electra starter motor. Is this normal or should I strip it and investigate?

I seem to have aquired some new FAG bearings, ref NU306E M1,  bronze cages , suitable for a Dommy?  suspect they may be a thou OS to fit in slightly worn housings ?.

I am trying to find a tacho drive for my Dominator 99. They are obtainable from Andover or RGM at quite a hefty price. I notice ones on Ebay selling for about £25. They are intended for a vintage Massey Ferguson Tractor. 

Can anybody tell me what the thread is ? The two screws are 3/16 but I cannot be sure whether it is BA or BSF ?.

I have been chasing an oil issue with the primary chaincase whereby I was finding more oil in it than I had put in.

My 1928 CS1 engine is complete, but there is a lot of backlash between the vertical shaft spline and the bottom bevel. It seems like the wear is in the bottom bevel where the spline runs. The shaft splines look good.

Bit of a mystery on rear hub bearing for 1967 N15CS (standard Atlas hub)
Bearing is on the sprocket side and is the one in the hub, part no 17721

I have a 1969 Mercury SS.  The steering dampers normally have two holes drilled, but mine has four holes.  Can anybody tell me why my dampers would have four holes and the reason for it.  Would appreciate if somebody could throw some light on why

Hi All,
I've been looking for a decent anti grinder U-Lock and core type lock for my Dommie.

There is a large auction house in the west of England that regularly has motorcycle sales. I've had the odd cheap bike from them, being careful not to spend too much as the bikes were untested.

I'm not aware of any rules about the way sales are conducted from adverts in Roadholder and on this website and assume it is down to individuals as to how they conduct them.

Does anyone know for sure when the camshafts marked QLL (both inlet and exhaust) were used?
Were they always the same for M50, ES2 and 19S models in any given year?

Yesterday I visited the NMM open day - had a pleasant couple of hours looking round, trying out bikes for size -  the new Commando is much more compact than I imagined. There were a couple of spares stalls - Andy Tiermans and another.

Just read an article in the Roadholder page 6 November by Tony Hopwood.

The NOC spares shop is showing out of stock. Anybody know of alternative sources? Alternatively, can anyone tell me the thread of the 2 tapped holes in the sprocket so I can make one?
