First Step Examine the carb
Evening,
Took the carb off tonight as I need to find the exact model so I can order the missing banjo and the refurbish kit. I have found a banjo on Ebay that fits 375 376 389 600 900 NORTON so I guess its one of these?

Just read my very late copy of RH magazine and my hopes and heart have been boosted. In the letters section there is a request to celebrate the " 75th Anniversary of the Featherded-framed Manx Nortons" next year.
I am replacing the swing arm gusset plate on my slimline frame and wanted to know if there is anybody out there that can re-stamp the identification numbers to the new gusset plate?
Hello ladies and Gents,
Would like to introduce myself and say hello.
Morning all,
So, after many months of looking and deciding, I took the leap of faith and purchased a bike this Saturday gone at the recent auction in Staffordshire.

I'm hoping to fit some exhaust kick-ups to my Navigator and as a result the nearside silencer may foul on the rod connection for the rear brake. I may need to do some creative fettling!
Hi Guys....
Has anyone else experienced trouble, specifically oil leakage, from the around the kickstart shaft when using the "X-ring" oil seal supplied by Andover Norton?
Gusy , what is the original horn style for the ES2 1951 ?
Has anyone ever managed to fit the felt seal between the sliding plates on the chain-case?

I know how everyone likes to look at other peoples problems so here's mine!
Further to my clutch issues can anyone confirm the number of plain steel and friction plates there should be in my clutch please
I have stripped the clutch and found there to be 4 friction plates and 5 plain steel
This year sees the National Motorcycle Museum celebrating it's 40th anniversary, and for us NOCers a double delight. Hogslayer will be fired up, along with other period drag/sprint bikes like the Vincent Nero.
The rods on my 1962 650SS which I am preparing to rebuild are the Commando-type with additional oil holes at the big end (NM23258).
Close examination shows some minor damage to one of the rods in two places.
Carb flanges on my 850 are leaking. I have taken them off, flattened them on an engineers plate and checked them for flat with engineers blue. Everything was perfect. Replaced onto the bike, still no luck.
In the recent damp weeks I have been running round on my Honda CB500. Apart from all the things you expect from a 1990's Honda - electric start and no-vibes oil tight engine, it is the ease with which it goes on the centre stand that amazes me.
My forum switched to Russian (or something !) and would not allow me to enter English . Somehow its reverted without my help ? whats going on?.
Turning ES2 1952 engine over by hand on kickstart, heard a hissing sound first thoughts" oh know," head gasket blowing.More investigations found that the oval tappet cover not quite sealing properly as I put new cork gasket on few months back.As f
Hi everyone.
Does anybody have any experience of the belt drive primary kit marketed by RGM "belt drive kit fits mag/dyno singles with clutch internals part no 05028"?
We have oil leaks from under the heads of the 3/8 head bolts on the Atlas. These are stainless and will be changed back to std steel OE bolts. Any sealing washers recommended?. we will be using sealant on the threads .
