Should I add the 2 x sealing disks to my inner chaincase? This is NOT the original inner. Lets call it the best one of the three I have available way over here in Nova Scotia!

I fitted a pair while I had it apart, mostly because the hole had worn so large it needed a repair and while i was there …. !

I had 2x sets on hand. One set where a good fit for the shaft but the outer diameter came up short when adjusting the chain. The second set are a loose fit around the shift but have a larger diameter and cover the hole regardless of gearbox position. With the felt washer I get a decent fit I guess.
All done now!

... and there's only a very small amount of oil coming out. I do run with the minimum (of ATF) in the chaincase however - just enough to wet the lower chain run.
