I own a 750 commando that was registered in april 1973, was told if i can prove the bike was produced in 1972 i will get historic tax on it.
I have an anti-clockwise mag that I got with a 16H WD (1942) project bike. According to the 'list of proprietary equipment' supplement for 1941, the bike should have a clockwise mag (MO1/4/AG4).
I'm reluctant to take my "new" engine to 5000 RPM to set the ignition timing of my old analogue Boyer.
If I apply for a factory record certificate giving frame and engine details as requested will it give the machines original registration number nd where it was distributed to.
Does the NOC have records of the numbers of Norton machines still on the road (or on SORN) by model and year of manufacture?
Can anyone tell me the make and supplier of the tank and seat fitted to the commando on the home page of this site.
Thanks

Why do threads get locked ?, I have just been reading through the petrol prices thread, and just as it was getting going it gets locked, why ?
I've just seen an Atlas on ebay missing its barrels, crank, conrods, pistons, carbs, exhaust, seat, gearbox and tool box lid. The seller considers it to be 80% complete! I must own a 160% Commando then.
Hi Manxman owners
Does anyone know the part number for the front cable from the throttle to the splliter under the petrol tank
Hello All! Where have all the good second-hand parts gone? 650 Barrels are like rocking horse fodder and if you can find a pair, you pay well over £500 by now. In the past I bought whole bikes cheaper than this.

Has anybody had difficulty changing the oil feed and return pipes on a Navigator
I have just had my slimline tank blasted prior to stove enamelling. I was surprised to find four slightly dished blind screw holes in the top, about the same thread as the side flashes.
I'm sure I read somewhere that putting in a heavier grade oil into Roadholder forks will help avoid topping and bottoming out, also increasing the amount put in. I can't for the life of me find the article. Can anyone shed any light on this?
To all those that offered advice on my first post, I would just like to say thank you. I did finally get to the bottom of the starting difficulties with my '56 Model 30 International.
