Mike's right; primary cover easier to remove than gearbox cover and will more likely yield cause. If I was a gambler, I'd put £50 on the clutch coming off the end of the mainshaft......

Where could the problem be? The kickstarter turns the gearbox shaft, that drives the clutch, that drives the primary chain, that drives the crankshaft. So, where should you look? I would take off the primary cover to see if the bike has a primary chain. With the cover off you should be able to see the clutch turning when you depress the kickstarter. If the clutch turns but the primary chain does not, I would suspect that the clutch pushrod is out of adjustment and not letting the plates drive. It is possible that the woodruf key is missing from the crankshaft sprocket?????Let us know what you findMike
