Can anyone tell me what the cable adjuster thread is on '50s Norton main control cables?
I have just tried fitting a new Venhill front brake cable to my '55 Dominator, bought from RGM.

I am soon to start on the electrics on my 1964 Navigator it will be 12 volts and with have Boyer Branson EI, I see that there's a number of options for the ignition coils ranging from the Boyer micro ones to originals coils, the question is which
Browsing the Norvil catalogue and noticed that Hepolite pistons are priced at 83 pounds and another anonymous brand at 155 pounds, nearly double.Can someone please explain- what is so special about the latter pistons.

In my efforts to match up a "pair" of carburettors I have come into posession of 2 carbs that are, on the face of things, physically the same.
great ride out last week, starting and charging well [thanks to Tony Cooper and A.O.]
But he ride was spoilt by the clutch....worked fine to start with then gradually got more difficult to change gear, finding neutral was horrendous.

I received my new Electra head gasket today from NOC Spares and was surprised at its thickness and weight. It is solid copper and weighs nearly four times my old one (210kg vs. 60 kg) and is about four times thicker.

A couple of thoughts, The plug recommended for the first 88 on the list must be for motors with an iron head, helpful if it said that.

I’m going to convert my Domi 99 ignition from magneto powered to electronic. I’m going for one of those ‘baked bean can’ jobs that houses the electronic ignition stator and rotor (replaces the mag).

Having discussed the use of the 100/90-19 front and rear fitment of these with the UK importer and the fitting onto the WM2 standard rim it was soon cleared up that these would fit as they have been used for racing in this configuration.
