1930s push rods

Forums

Hi folks,
having removed the head of my 1935 m18,  i have discovered that the cup ends of the push rods can be pulled off the shafts with no effort at all. When pushed back on they are a reasonably good fit with little if any wobble. I suppose they are in effect held captive by the springs so are unlikely to come off while fitted, but i guess they could become worse.
I have placed an order for new ones through racing Norton but wondered what could be done to repair the originals.

1. Tig weld them back on at the base
2. Jb weld them on
3. Drill and pin.

Any ideas.
Thanks as usual.

Easiest fix ever.
Just loctite them in place. Use some bearing fit or retainer depending how much gap you have.
