Hi guys
I'm just dry building my 1953 featherbed Inter with matching engine. I have the correct G102 gearbox but with standard gears. It has a GT175 mainshaft which I thought was correct. I have a new front engine sprocket too with the chain line in the centre.
My problem is my clutch sits outwards by about 4mm out of line to the front sprocket.
Any clues?
Cheers
Paul.
I had the opposite problem…

GT185 mainshaft
Hi Dan
I have seen the mention of the GT185 mainshaft, but yet to find any data on it.
Cheers

FB Inter gearbox
Paul. I think the correct laydown gearbox for the featherbed Inter should be GB21 and not G102 which is used on the Model 7 in the swing arm frame . I also think the GT 175 mainshaft is correct for the Inter.

Correct now
I've just stripped it all down again and now it lines up!
Don't know what I did wrong, I should know better.

I had the opposite problem on my ES2 - this thread has a bit of info about the inter mainshaft towards the end - there was a suggestion that the inter used a GT 185 mainshaft but I have no idea!
