POWDER COATING FIRMS - ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

Hi
I have used Redditch Shotblasting for my last three restorations. They have always done a brilliant job but I see they are no longer in business - very sad.
Not all powder coating firms are made equal - poor quality materials used, lack of care in masking off, and not doing a decent job. I seek to achieve concours standards and to this end seek any suggestions of firms who can be relied upon to do a good job. My current project is a MK3 Commando.
I live in North Cheshire and am happy to drive up to around 100 miles for the right job to be done.
Many Thanks

This company did an excellent job for me. It was a lightweight frame, in its component parts, swinging arm, spacers, some tin ware, footrests. Etc..

Chris knows bikes.

I helped myself by masking all the internal threads and holes that would be worse for blasting and painting.

Elected for acid dip, which removes ALL trace of grease and oil for a better paint finish. Then primer then topcoat.

Can do any RAL colour. Which must cover your needs.

I thought the finish excellent. No unpainted shadow areas. All parts wrapped in tissue. And all for a very good price.

... were still there a couple of months ago. There's another company next door to them - Washford Finishing - who I've used a couple of times and do a decent job. But as always make sure everything is well masked!

But have just noticed you're in Cheshire so a bit far perhaps.

I've just had a pair of mudguards and engine plates blasted in Rochdale by

Triple 7 Refurbs
121 Dell Road,
Healey Dell, Rochdale.

Brilliant job, Dean, the proprietor is extremely careful with his work, and the grit he used for the blasting left a finish which was very smooth.
He does powder coating as well, in numerous colours, and dipping to remove finishes from larger surfaces.

Fastline Coatings in Preston. I've just dropped some parts off there today, & have used them many times over the years, always with excellent results.

Stove enamelling was the original treatment and far superior to powder coating, even though it's messier and more difficult!  Powder Coating can suffer from rust "worms" when it's damaged.  Not so with stoving.
I'm lucky enough to have a great firm near me in Southampton who can do both! Trestan Finishers.  Incidentally, Norman White had his Norton barrels stoved there too.  I only know this because I spotted a finished twin barrel when I visited them once.
