Here I am again!
please can any one help. My mk3 Commando had no side stand when I bought her. I bought a new side stand kit from AN, however, I cannot see where the spring should attach to the frame/engine .

Has anyone tried a clamp-on type side stand? I have no bracket on the frame for a side stand and reluctant to go to the bother of welding one on (probably mean engine out, etc.).

does anybody have the valve timing including lift at tdc. and full lift degrees for the 1953 works 500 Manx ( 88 x 82mm ) engine. Also cam numbers if known.

Way back, I went down to Eltham and purchased, among other goodies, a full Dunstall exhaust system for my 88.

I'd appreciate some advice - once I have removed the steering stem nut and tab washer should the bottom yoke just tap down and off. I'm wanting to replace the headlight bracket (shroud) bottom 'O' rings.

On the back face of the drive side crankcase, there is a number - 99C 3724. Delved into the forums and it seems to be a factory production number.
I have noticed clutch back plates for sale and want to know the difference between plain and the ones with friction material on them, and also can you mix n match them.

Not sure if a steering damper was standard for a '57 ES2 but could one be fitted retrospectively?

Recently purchased an 1975 mk111 850 as my Triumph days of kicking are over due to a bad ankle. Bike has been standing for a few years and the owner was deceased.
Just reading Old Bike Mart and I see Bruce’s Jubilee won’t the 250 class. Well done Bruce, now all you have to do is post some pictures!

I have a 750 Commando with an Alton starter and an A reg1 regulator rectifier. When I restored the bike two years ago I retained the assimilater which controls the charge warning light.
My 99 has a broken spigot, about 1/3 missing, bores are very good nick at 68.25. Seen a lot of comments about leaving it, machining them off and use or not use filler rings in the head.
Does anyone know of any air filters (available in the UK) which will fit the early Commando with Amal 900 carbs and 46mm connections? I'm sure the original system was best but that's just not for me.

Like (I suspect) a lot of other people, I think of Tracy Tools as suppliers of every imaginable tool for cutting metal.
Imagine my surprise, on finding that I need a 2 BA helicoil kit, that Tracy do not offer these in any BA sizes.
Please someone help with a query. Try as I can I cannot release the contact breaker assembly as it seems to have stuck tight to the outer housing.
My '77 850 commando is fitted with an electronic tacho from which 3 wires exit to a connector block. Light green , black , red. The light green is connected to the right hand coil, but where do the other two go ??
