Hi there,
Can I please request some expert help?
I have a 1939 model 18 and I would like to know the following specifications:
What are the front and rear wheel sizes? Am I correct in thinking they are 19’s?
When I switch the indicators on (left or right) the main beam indicator (green light) flashes too. All circuits and switches appear good, what have I done wrong?
I was going to tag this onto the Esso Synergy comments, but that was getting too long, hence this new thread.
I have just restarted work on this gearbox due to my catching Covid19 but I am through it now. I am lucky that I had at least 2 vaccinations before I contracted this virus.

Regarding the DVD's available at the NOC online shop relating to gearbox strip down / rebuilds and engine strip down / rebuilds: I wonder do they include the Mk3 Commando?
Has anyone with a Mk3 bought these products?

Having purchased a pair of bright shiny exhaust roses to go with my bright shiny pipes, I set about instalation but even after wringing up the roses the joint was not tight, i.e. the pipe was not gripped.
The magneto on my Atlas has a broken ignition points plate and so far another one cannot be found, so I may have no choice but to convert it to electronic ignition.
Due to the somewhat stupid tank strap my bike came with (not the regular rubber strap rubber, but a narrow slim foam strip under the metal strap (maybe looked cool, but didn't do its job..) my tank has been moving around (damaging the paint a litt
I am sure that this is a topic that has been discussed many times before but here goes. I am planning to fit a single Mikuni carb to my 850 engine which is currently being rebuilt by Norman White. There does seem to be 2 schools of thought on wh
Last year I added a "Ramair" foam sock filter over the Inter bell mouth. Seemed innocuous enough and on the road I didn't notice any adverse effect so, although it's ugly, it should help keep the engine wear rate down.

A while back, I bought a new speedo cable, made to measure by Venhill. I wanted a slightly longer cable than the old one (it died when I tried to remove the inner cable to lube it, and .... )
Someone please tell me how I can remove the slip ring from the contact breaker assembly. I have tried levering, I have tried freezing with a frozen broccoli to contract it away from the magneto body.and left it to soak in WD40.
Hello Again, it's been a while!
My '73 750 Commando is starting to come along and I'm assembling finished parts into something now resembling a motorcycle.
I've noticed a weird thing with the forks.
Good Day All,
I am close to needing to source a full exhaust system for my restoration. Which suppliers do the forum members recommend from experience please for fit and quality?
The cylinder barrel of my 1960 Model 50 looked like new when I bought it some 9 months back now but, unfortunately, the gloss (or semi-gloss perhaps) black paint used by whoever restored it seems to be disappearing off the edges of some of the coo
My sprocket, when fitted on the inlet shaft to drive the magdyno, doesn't seem to come out far enough to give a straight run to the mag sprocket for the chain. Should it have a spacer or washer behind it to align it better?
Thanks
