Just done a deal on a 40M. I don't doubt it's genuine as it has only had a few owners and the last one since the early 70's. Last raced / run in 1980. Never pulled to bits and well known in Norton / old bike circles.

Well,I have been tied up , (metaphorically speaking), getting my stuff back from a guy , who had my stuff for various time periods from September 2015 to last week, but importantly over the past 9 months he had a substantial amount of my property,

My roadster n/s front fork is very stiff so i'm dismantling to find out what the problem is.
Assembling the upgraded starter motor to the 4 brush system. When I tighten the two through bolts to clamp everything together the armature is tight to turn. I need to give a real handful to get it moving. Is this right.
A rare original side stand for Navigator, etc, just popped up on eBay. Starting bid of £70.
I need to renew the layshaft in my GB8(Dommie 88 / 77) laydown gearbox. Unfortunately I have only a parts list for a G102 (ES2 / Mod 19) box. Could any kind soul let me have the part number for this shaft? On the ES2 parts list it is A2/325.

Hi guys - if I fit a sealed main shaft bearing does that mean I can do away with the sealing washer between the gear and the bearing?
Can anyone help, please? I'm trying to find out how many mm BTDC I need to set my engine to get the timing right. I don't want to take the primary chaincase off (again!) as I have just managed to stop it leaking.

Does anyone have a Jubilee seat or seat pan for sale? Condition is not important provided the seat pan is sound. The bike is a 1963 model with the later gearbox.

Could anyone pass onto me the fuse values for the fuse holders packed away inside the Mk3 ES headlight shell. The circuits they protect are: U/Y Blue/Yellow, W (White), N/G (Brown/Green).

Hi, should the grub screw in the photo be fully screwed in. as i can turn it with a screw driver. it is a tight fit thread wise . is it some sort of blanking plug if so can it be screwed in and tighten up fully.

My 1952 ES2 is fitted with a 4.00 x 19 rear tyre (Mitas) which is too big in section and in danger of ripping itself to bits on the mudguard bolts. A shame as it's virtually new (fitted by previous owner but clearly not run much if at all).
