I bought a cam for my 88 project from Ebay, The cam does not look worn but has a few very fine rust pits, can I remove the pits with very fine emery or wet n dry? or will the cam need a regrind.

Are the nut types are used on the engine studs just full nuts or was there a mixture nuts fitted. On one end of the studs I have nyloc nuts and other end full nuts. Should they just be full nuts.

I have some Wassel knee grips which I have tried to fit.
I am trying to set the timing on my bike. It is fitted with manual advance/retard and a plain drive sprocket on the magneto. See attache photo. Having got the nut off the sprocket I am unsure how to release the sprocket from its taper.
My 1955 Dominator has some damage to combustion chamber. I have sourced a bare donor head that looks perfect. can I swap the parts over from my damaged head to the donor, lap the valves.
I have studied hours of video and understand the workshop manual process for replacing the guides (and valves).
I suspect my newly rebuilt ES2 has an oil flow problem.
It was rebuilt with an overhauled oil pump, new spring and plunger in the timing cover. It was resleeved and of course new bearings and gaskets throughout.
I would like to see a link on the "Membership" button to all the Minutes of the NOC, arranged by year. I have searched for these, and the results have been somewhat mixed. To include financial reports.

I have the seal and ready to install, is it a straight swop or should I add a touch of grease or maybe silicon sealer?

The Government has today announced a ban on the sale of new petrol & diesel cars effective 2030. MAG has received explicit assurance from the government that the ban does not extend to bikes.
I have been using the spares shop quite a lot since beginning the reassembly of an Electra, and gathering bits for my Atlas and 88 projects too.
I've just completed a rebuild of my MkV 750 and after I get into 4th gear I cannot get it to go back through the lower gears. The gearbox was the only component I left untouched as it worked perfectly before the rebuild.
I am rebuilding a pre war 16h on a standard bore and thinking I should hone the bore? Can anybody please suggest a good drill attachment honing tool and what size I would need?

Despite research I can't find details of the carb retaining nuts for a monobloc 376/017.
Mine have gone walk-about. I believe they should be nylon insert tye but don't have details of the size/thread. Help!

I have a Pitman publication of the 1960's that gives the timing at 30 degrees before TDC.( See attached). This differs from some of the other published figures; is it correct ? I use unleaded petrol and rarely go above 65 mph.
I’ve lost patience with the poor starting of the inter and seek to eliminate different elements. I have a 930 concentric but it’s not jetted anything like the TT. Can anyone running this set up give me a starting point on jets?

I can't seem to find anyone selling handlebars close to the original style ( see photo ) for the 1930-32 Model 18/20..Lots of W type with sharp bends that don't look right.
Any suggestions for suppliers.
