Hi all - Can anyone advise on these Armstrong units from my 1956 Model 99 ? Can they be disassembled and rebuilt ? It would appear that the top cover / shroud is retained by a split collet arrangement.

I have my gearbox apart at the moment to deal with end float on the mainshaft and noticed that both the gear selector quadrant and the selector fork camplate have location indents for all four gears but nothing to locate neutral..
One thing I noticed on my 31 model 20 there is no crankcase breather.
I am assuming they breath through the drive bearing?
Further to my post last month of a new kick-start shaft being too big for my AMC gearbox. Thanks to John Holmes for advice. RGM kindly refunded my money and I found someone to fit a bush to my original kick-start shaft.
I am planning to get my Atlas rear mudguard re-chromed and am wondering about the Dzus spring. Were the springs originally riveted to the mudguard before or after plating?

I have a 1967 650SS, engine #18SS123055P. I suspect the push rods are to long, the intake is 8.250" and the exhaust is 7.375". Try as I might I'm unable to get a consistent length on the forum or the internet.
I’m doing some research on my 1967 650SS. I have uncovered the Reynolds frame number near the headstock, I realize it’s a date stamp that Reynolds applied but unable to interpolate it’s meaning, please see attached picture.

Hi everyone, sorry what might be a silly question but the slider on my '62 650SS are different lengths so one is shorter by 1 3/8". I think it must be correct as the mudguard brace is the difference unless on has been made as a special?

For the 2 pin flasher unit can someone tell me which wires go to the B and L terminals?
