Has anybody fitted this ignition system to an 850 commando. Mine runs great but starting is bad. Any suggestions ??
My bike stopped firing on the L/H cylinder, causing the engine fault light to come on. The firing issue has been resolved but the mechanic can't access the ECU to reset it.

I am restoring a 1972 Combat basket case and after cleaning off the grime have come across the marking N817 on the gearbox.
Does anyone know what this means? Is it a Commando gearbox or something else?
I recently bought a 1967 650SS with an odd chassis number that the previous owner asked the powers that be with in NOC if they could shed any light on the bikes chassis number that appears on the V5 document.
Hi. I’ve been wrestling with the primary chain of my Dommie 99 today trying to get the tension correct. The chain, engine sprocket and the complete clutch are all new.
Hi everyone. I need to buy a new oil seal for my Navigator but don't know what it's called, can you help please. It's located on the top of the left hand engine casing, when sat on the bike, where a black wire goes into the casing.
Any Noccers booked to go to Santander this year ?
If so, did you get a ferry code from the club ??
Hi All,
Hi, my 1962 650SS has a twin leading front brake but with any identification on the outside of the brake plate. The brake plate has air holes and an air scoop with a wire mesh.
I am trying to restore a 1961 Navigator. The crankcases are now split. The camshafts have some play in the bushes on the timing side of about 4 thousand on an inch with a bit of ovality. On the primary side it’s onstage 2 thou.
Greetings from Ireland.
I am in the process of rebuilding a 1962 Model 50. I am going down the route of the BSA A65 (+ 40 thou) piston and overboring the barrel to 76mm to give 399cc.
Hello, my name is Bill and I'm new here. This afternoon I will be picking up my new/old Norton. It's a 1967 Norton 650SS that's a bit of a cafe racer type with a few Paul Dunstall parts.
I think it's time for a re-bore on the 38 ES 2 motor
The only pistons I can find are 48 on.Nothing for the pre war Singles
I understand the GPM piston just needs the skirt trimmed a little, is this correct.
Hi, I have a wide line Dominator 99 cafe racer with central oil tank.
Hi all,
I’m conscious I’ve probably done something stupid again but I’m hoping someone can shed some light this.
hi i have straightened my 16h frame, aligned the wheels put a large level on both wheels vertically they look good now, but the bike still pulls slightly to the left, anyone got an idea why. pete
Could someone please confirm if a 1933 International should have a Dolls head gearbox or a Sturmy. I thought the Dolls head didn't come out until 1935. Seems a lot of pictures I've seen of 1933 models have a Dollshead. Many thanks.
Is the prewar one-piece front hub on the Inter steel and not cast iron? Is that why my Inter front brake is not as good as my 16H? If so, there's no solution that will make up the difference, is there?
Whilst I am familiar with Concentrics of yore, the Premier gives me some questions.
Attached is pic taken from the lovely new color pamphlet that came with the Premier.
I'm tired of poor brakes. Is the oval plate between the mounting pins one of the various ways to make them better? I don't even see how it fits because there is no room behind the retaining circlips on the pins. RGM appear to sell them.
Can you please tell me if this is correct….Boyer Mk 4
Please could I have some advice as I'm getting a little fed up with top-end rebuilds!!
After just a handful of starts the sprague clutch retaining nut undoes itself. I use the correct torque setting (65 to 70 lbs ft) and also use Locktite, but it has happened four times in the last two months.
