Hi. I have fitted an ignition switch to my Dommie 99 project but it’s not easily accessible when in the riding position. I would therefore like to add an engine kill switch on the handlebars. However, I’m not sure what wire I need to interrupt.
I’m fitting the primary chaincase inner cover to my Atlas and in the gasket set have a felt seal described as a “rear sprocket felt” part number 062889.
Hello to all - I have just joined this club and have always dreamed of owning a Commando!

Does anyone know where I can get the torque setting for a Navigator. I am now in a position to rebuild the engine but have no idea of the torque settings.
When it comes to motorcycle cylinder barrels, I don't know what spigotted or unspigotted means. Can someone please enlighten me?
Also can anyone tell me is Navigators and Electras use the same barrel base gaskets?
Thanks.

Just putting this out there. The 961 did not take to the new E10 fuel, however I should have thought about it as my 961 has been mapped and ‘decatt’d’ . The first time I filled her up after the introduction of E10 it started pinking under load.
I'm having no luck in finding anything close to the measurements of the plus 20 piston.
29-30 is different, the 500T is close but the pin to deck is about an 1/8 more.
and all the other singles including 16H can't be used
Has anyone got any details/drawing of the baffling?
I'm currently building an exhaust system to fit my special, so this would help a lot.
While out for a Sunday ride my Norton lost compression. I made it home OK but she was puffing some oil.

Where can I get a replacement piston for the 31 ?

Does anyone know if the kick start lever in our NOC shop catalogue will clear the swept back exhaust pipe? The exhaust pipe looks like the one in the Unity Equip catalogue. I have looked at my pipe but there are no identification marks.
I've just discovered that my front isolastic (Mk3) has been fitted with the adjusting ring (ring with the holes in it) situated on the primary side of the frame, not the timing side as described in the manual.
I have a 74 Commando, rode it a few days ago and noticed a noise coming from the clutch area when idling at the traffic lights.
Anyone converted a standard Amal 930 to "Premier" spec with:
- the fixed bush removed,
- variable jet inserted,
- the left hand tapered needle inserted. (What is the intention with this?)
The very good looking 1962 650SS on our website I bought is anything but good. So Far every thing I have touched needs attending to.
Hi,
I was contacted by a motorcycle journalist wanting to re-visit riding a Commando, I let him have a spin on mine...
I read somewhere that removing part of the lining of the trailing end of the trailing shoe will improve the action, My thoughts are that perhaps this will allow the trailing shoe to wear at the same rate as the leading shoe and keep the pressu
My 1961 unit worked fine when I rebuilt the bike, but now the headlight circuit is open circuit.
Has anybody any expertise in opening these things up, cleaning and reassembly?
