Slimline petrol tanks are secured to the top of the frame by 2 shouldered bolts that screw into captive (cage) nuts, clipped into brackets welded onto the base of the tank.
I have two Norton singles stored in the same garage. I have trouble with one of these machines getting condensation in the primary chain case. This can happen at any time summer or winter. What's going wrong?

Can anyone tell me what the thread form the two attachment screws are on the battery box cover? The threads are in poor condition and putting thread tape on them isn't doing it for me any more.
Bearing in mind the situation with Wipac rotors on the lightweights ie 1" crank. A O services is doing a special offer to get some/any rotors re-magnetised. This can include the Lucas item but bear in mind these are available new.

For couple months now i can not scroll pages on the website. Its basically impossible to use the NOC website now. cannot view forum posts of pages because as soon as you scroll down, the website bounces back to the top immediately.
I'm trying to remove the valves from the head. One exhaust valve came off OK the other won't.

I am please to say DDR (Dads Dominator Resurrection) burst into life last night-some of you may recall I posted a while ago with ignition issues.....
My rebuilt gearbox, newly installed in the bike, spins reassuring freely. However, as soon as I tighten the nut on the gearbox sprocket, even hand tight, the sleeve gear turns noticeably less freely.

Is there anywhere that makes bar risers for the 961 . It's OK when your doing 60 or above but town riding and slow country roads makes alot of things ache lol
I have 1957 wideline International, the riveted sliding metal disc that supposedly seals the gearbox shaft is very loose. In fact I can spin it. Is this correct, should it be close fit or should there be a felt washer? Thanks guys

I have a weep of oil from the gearchange spindle - I understand that the NOC quad seal is effective here. I have to drain the 'box - can someone confirm that the arrowed item in the attached is the drain plug?
Please can someone advise me as to the best engine oil for my 1963 Norton 650ss to accommodate easy kick starting without compromising wear and tear ? Has anyone had experience with Castrol XXL40?
I remember watching the film "Girl on a Motorbike" in about 1967 but seem to remember a Norton 650ss being ridden . However I have recently been lead to believe only a Harley Davidson was used..
