An IDp is NOT needed for the EU, it has always been required for countries out with the EU in my experience, they cost less than 6 quid and last a year. It has always been the case that you should have your V5 abroad.
Following my thread on carb insulators, studs etc I now have suitable studs but a new problem.

Hello Forum
In Jan 2021, I purchased a pair of stanchions and sliders from Andover Norton for my 73 Norton Commando.
I'm looking for a Model 7 heady steady for a swinging arm frame, but don't know what it looks like! Please can someone take a photo so that I can try and find one or otherwise make one. A sketch with dimensions would help.
Philip
Hi there - first post on this forum (I have posted on the Commando site). Recently bought a Commander and need to repaint the fairing, does anyone have a close match paint for the dark metallic grey they used?
I don't trust the oil pump on the dommie, probably due to me putting a clear hose on the head feed then seeing how little oil actually went up there and how little made it back to the tank too. Hence I have a new pump from the club spares sche
Hi Guys....I am trying to rebuild a 1935 16H. Its magdyno is original and model MSL1 clockwise rotation. Its end cap and point assy is missing and I am really struggling to establish what parts I need and to find a unit with a c/w rotation.
Hello all
Can someone recommend a machine shop in the Sussex area.
I want to have my valves, head, cylinder barrels checked. and if any works needed to be done on Norton Commando.

Hi all
Quick question, the oil tank breather on my wideline has no hose connected and unfortunately breathes directly onto the 6v electronic box fitted by the PO.
Want to know the correct rear mudguard for my 1955 dominator 88. My model has the separate dashboard but came with the incorrect rear mudguard not even sure it was for a Norton. So does it have a one piece or the two piece mudguard?
Hi all,
Just had my heads & cases all cleaned, now found what looks like cracking in the barrel liners. Anyone know if they can be replaced or repaired?
thanks
Doing routine maintenance I noticed a wear line in the sidewall of the 3.50 x19 rear tyre.
Can anyone tell me if there is a problem using an oil pump seal from a twin in place of the fibre washers?
Hi all,
My Dad's 2013 Sport tank has been attacked by the dreaded Ethanol and has severly bubbled the paint over the last year.
I have the beautiful looking twin leading shoe front brake on my 71 Fastback but want to use my bike on the UK' s crowded roads.
Hi all, I'm a brand new NOC member excitedly awaiting the delivery of my 71 Fastback. I've been trawling through the various forums and have been really impressed with the amazing knowledge and enthusiasm of you members.
In the past, I have found that buying control cables that are ready made results in huge variability, so I'm hoping to make them this time.
Do any of you know if Norton changed their exhaust and inlet valves during the production life of the 16h. I'm not referring to anything pre 1930s. The reason I ask is that I am looking to replace the guides and valves.
I’ve never had this issue before, so I’m not sure if it’s even a problem. The other day I did a trial fitting of the front wheel into my project Dommie 99 forks (7 inch forks).
hi all wanted battery replacements for my ES2 at the moment it has 2 6v could i get a 12v single to fit in the carrier box
I am currently addressing a few problems with my Dommie, one being a twisted wideline petrol tank.
Flipping heck .... £3,680 for a jubilee with a v5 that says 350!
Hi everyone, lower and upper pipes into junction block on crankcase: which are feed and return please? Jan. ( bought engine on it’s own, and going into custom cycle parts)
Can anyone reccomend a C. Stand for a 1956 Dommie it is nearly impossible to pull the bike onto the one currently fitted I seem to remember reading about a 'roll on type'.
