Does the lightweight oil pressure relief valve need a washer behind it? Specifically on a Jubilee?

Can the Gearbox sprocket seal be removed from outside without going into the gearbox?

I'm referring to the seal on the output shaft that is directly behind the front sprocket.

Hello where would you find original photos to see factory fasteners, hardware, grips etc. I am restoring a 1948 Es2.

Bad news for me as RGM will no longer take on workshop services, except camshaft re-stelliting!  I might get one done, but I really wanted my cylinder head fitted with new guides, seats re-cutting and - most importantly - a Helicoil insert to one

Could anyone confirm that after fitting the bottom bushes to the stanchion and tightening the lower nuts they should still be free to rotate on the stanchion?
