Wheel lacing

I started my latest rebuild of my '70 Commando whilst I was living in Italy. When I got to the (oversized) rear wheel I realised the rim was shot and had a new one and some 4mm stainless spokes flown out.

I have just bought new oil union banjo bolts from the NOC shop (reference no 18101) and they don’t appear to fit. They go in about one and a half turns then refuse to budge.

Valve timing ES2

Forums

I'm checking the valve timing on an ES2, 1961.

The book "Norton Singles" by Roy Bacon states that the timing should be:

Inlet open - 30deg BTDC (mine is 60deg)

Inlet close - 75deg ABDC (mine is 135deg)

What is it?

Forums

Hello everyone,

I'm a new / returning member after selling my MkIIA back in 1989.....so,

I recently bought this 350cc Jubilee / Navigator and that is the crux of my question...what is it?

Tragic oil loss

Forums

OK, so I am bumbling home on my 1972 750, and shock-horror, notice that my oil pressure guage shows an oil pressure of about 10 psi, as opposed to the usual 30 to 40. As I watch it the pressure continues to fall, down to nothing.

Sleeve gear

Forums

Another question.  I've just slipped the gearbox innards out of the Navigator to lighten the load for when I remove the engine from the frame.  I am relieved that an initial inspection revealed no horrors, all seems well.

Norton Dominator 650SS

I have just joined the club having owned a Norton Dominator 650SS for the last four and a half years.

On visiting the website, I was surprised and pleased to see my bike or I should say a painting of my bike by Ian Carter.
