What do people use to hold wiring and cables to the frame on old bikes?

The ES2 has push rods with cup shaped upper ends into which fit the ball end of the rocker.
Is oil fed to these rocker ball ends? Or is it just splash lubrication?
(It would come from the oil supply to the rocker shaft.)
My '74 mk2a Commando will pop but not start. It is fitted with a Boyerbransen ignition. Boyerbransen told me to reverse the 2 wires from the static part. I did and it still won't start.
Can anyone recommend anyone in the Stockport area who will move a Dominator from one location to another. please
Can anyone suggest the best repair method and company that could carry out a repair of the rear brake in the attached picture.

Hello does anyone market a big borekit for the 650SS engine?
Hoping that someone can advise on the differences between 350 and 500cc pre war open diamond frames.
I am in the process of putting together a pre war bitza from a pile of bits accumulated over the years.
I started my latest rebuild of my '70 Commando whilst I was living in Italy. When I got to the (oversized) rear wheel I realised the rim was shot and had a new one and some 4mm stainless spokes flown out.
Im hoping to do some touring on my 850 this Summer when allowed out so needed some luggage panniers.
A brief word to those already initiated and wise... If you want to get to the sole purpose of this thread, please skip to the bottom of this missive to the last two short paragraphs followed by my questions so as to save yourself time and relieve
Had a oil weep from the index plunger housing on my 850 mk3 , found it was loose so took it out and found that there is a thin shim and a rubber o ring on it . had a look at parts list but can't see any washer or seal fitted to it .
Ok! I’ve started a thread under “Singles!”
I have just bought new oil union banjo bolts from the NOC shop (reference no 18101) and they don’t appear to fit. They go in about one and a half turns then refuse to budge.

Did any poor soles bid on the recent e-bay scam for a 61 650SS with a Hemmings motor and 5-speed gearbox ? The standard 650 motor was supposedly included.
Hi again, does anybody know what diameter tube the lower front mudguard stay was made of. I was going to buy a standard one and modify it but it appears that no one has even a repro so i am going to have to make one. Just not sure of diameter.
I'm checking the valve timing on an ES2, 1961.
The book "Norton Singles" by Roy Bacon states that the timing should be:
Inlet open - 30deg BTDC (mine is 60deg)
Inlet close - 75deg ABDC (mine is 135deg)
Hello everyone,
I'm a new / returning member after selling my MkIIA back in 1989.....so,
I recently bought this 350cc Jubilee / Navigator and that is the crux of my question...what is it?
OK, so I am bumbling home on my 1972 750, and shock-horror, notice that my oil pressure guage shows an oil pressure of about 10 psi, as opposed to the usual 30 to 40. As I watch it the pressure continues to fall, down to nothing.
Another question. I've just slipped the gearbox innards out of the Navigator to lighten the load for when I remove the engine from the frame. I am relieved that an initial inspection revealed no horrors, all seems well.
Hi. I have three Dommie 99 cylinder heads. They are all marked 22707. One of them is 22707H, one is 22707Y and the third has no letter after the number, it’s just plain old ‘22707’ (there’s no sign of a letter having been removed).
Hi. I’ve rebuilt my 1960 Dommie 99 gearbox and it’s all working fine (on the bench). However, the gearbox sprocket has a bit of resistance to it when I turn it.
Anyone know the size of the pushrod tubes? Inside and outside diameters are the dimensions I'm looking for.
Thanks
Hello All,
My name is Steve Swan, I live in Colorado, USA.
I have just joined the club having owned a Norton Dominator 650SS for the last four and a half years.
On visiting the website, I was surprised and pleased to see my bike or I should say a painting of my bike by Ian Carter.
can anyone tell me the length eye to eye of rear shock 1952-56 spring frame?
I took my bike for a spin the other day and after a few miles heard a clattering noise on the road as something fell off! It turned out to be the valve cover. I found it in the gutter and luckily it is more or less intact. I couldn't find the k
