Hello Adrian,

13/101398 is from an early '62 (Slimline) Model 50 single. There'll be a small flat on the inside of the right hand top rail.

14/98123 was for a '61 Model 99, despatched around June.

No reason not to keep them together though. The Slimline singles frames were every bit as strong and the only real difference was the width of the front engine mountings.

i knew you were a clever one , thanks for that , yes ,it has a flat in the top right tube, hoped it might have been a manx worth 3 million...... something or others, ha ha , no such luck , i dont really mind dates but it has been registered with a re stamped frame number on the headstock , n reg too, means paying road tax, thats against the principals , hence the date enquiry, thanks for your input , much appreciated.
